 "PinkNieuwWest" is an initiative for and by gay, lesbian en bisexual people in the western part of Amsterdam known as 'stadsdeel Nieuw-West'. Roughly, this is the part west of the A10. It can be nice to meet like-minded people. Also sometimes useful. From borrowing a cup of sugar, to a trustful key holder in times of emergency, cat and plant sitting during your holiday, a gym buddy, technical help for your computer, referring you to a good cleaner or someone to help out if you become sick.
This initiative is partially made possible by a grant from the municipiality 'stadsdeel Nieuw-West'.
We would like to honour those who gave their lives for our freedom during the different ceremonies on Memorial day (May 4th at 8:00 p.m.) in our part of town. During the drink we ask every participant for a small contribution for a flowerarrangement with pink ribbons.
The next pink drink is February 2nd from 8:00 p.m. in Coffee@Last, located on square Koningin Wilhelminaplein in Slotervaart, Amsterdam. Feel free to drop by and take your neighbours with ya!
